For eight years, Žiūra photographed and filmed women who worked as prostitutes in the illegal red-light district around the Vilnius railway station. Almost all of them were addicted to heavy drugs and were constantly balancing on an extreme existential edge.

In his solo exhibition “SWIM” at CAC Vilnius in 2004 (curated by Virginija Januškevičiūtė and Anders Kreuger), he presented photographs of models who had died since the beginning of the project.

5 Duratrans prints in light boxes, 32.5 × 32.5 cm.
